All the World's a Stage: Renaissance Fair

By Samaira and Anvi (Grade 9)

On the 26th of July this year, the 9th batch held an assembly regarding Ancient Rome and the English Renaissance, titled “All the World’s a Stage”.

The agenda of the assembly was to draw parallels between the 2 time periods and to be well versed with it for a better understanding of our drama this year, Julius Caesar, which was written by William Shakespeare.

The Research Process

The journey began with us in groups, researching the various aspects of the 2 civilizations. After our research we had accumulated a dense amount of information that we proceeded to turn into lab books and even posters.

During this part of our journey, Eesha Akka assisted us with our poster modelling, and once it was ready, we began preparing for our presentations. During the rehearsals we received invaluable feedback and inputs from Udity Akka, who also assisted us throughout the direction of the project.

Reflecting on the Era

This journey was interesting for all the students in our batch, and immersing ourselves into the research and presentation of these eras was nothing less than enjoyable.
