Football Match: Senior Girls
By Ishita and Prisha (Grade 10)
It’s a corner. Nayantara stands behind the ball, eyes fixed on the goal: Chick… Chick… BOOM! The ball soars in the air only to be perfectly cleared by Naina as it reaches the ground, and the ball is out once again.
The 9-10th vs 11-12th girls’ football match, one of the first events of this year’s much-awaited three-day sports fest, was one packed with skill, camaraderie, and adrenaline.
As the 11th-12th grade girls took the win, the match ended with sincere handshakes, with both teams wishing each other a heartfelt “good game.” Congratulating each other on the months of practice and dedication to the sport, it embodied the true essence of sports fest in Sahyadri: SPORTSMANSHIP.
